Planning a birthday party or creative event? Here are answers to common questions about our mobile splatter paint experiences, locations, setup, cleanup, and booking process.
-
Pop Color Splat! creates unforgettable mobile art experiences where guests get to explore color, movement, and creativity through splatter painting.
We bring the supplies, setup, protective gear, guidance, and cleanup. You provide the space and the guests—we take care of the rest.
Our goal is not just to make a mess. We create a fun, confidence-building creative experience that is both collaborative and individual, where everyone gets to experiment and make something they are proud of.
-
Pop Color Splat! creates creative art experiences for kids, teens, and adults of all ages.
Our birthday parties are especially popular with elementary-aged kids and teens who are eager to splatter paint, but the experience is designed around something everyone can enjoy: experimenting with color, movement, and creativity without worrying about making something “perfect.”
We also offer custom events for older guests, including adult celebrations, creative gatherings, team-building events, and our Sip & Splatter experiences.
Whether you're celebrating a child’s birthday, planning a group event, or just looking for a unique way to get creative, we can help create an experience that fits your group.
-
Absolutely!
While many of our events are designed for kids and families, splatter painting is something that people of all ages enjoy. We also offer creative experiences for adults, including Sip & Splatter parties, private celebrations, workplace team-building events, and other group gatherings.
Our adult events combine the same creative freedom and colorful energy as our kids’ parties—with a more relaxed, social atmosphere.
Whether you're planning a birthday, girls’ night, date night, company event, or just looking for something different to do with friends, Pop Color Splat! brings the supplies, setup, and experience directly to you.
-
Not at all!
Our parties are designed around process art, which means there is no right or wrong way to create. Participants do not need artistic experience or special skills.
The fun comes from experimenting, trying something new, and seeing what happens when color and movement come together.
-

-
No!
Many families love hosting at home, but parks and community spaces can be a great option too.
In fact, parks are often ideal because they provide plenty of open space and make cleanup easier. We regularly work with families who choose outdoor public spaces for their celebrations.
-
Our ideal setup area is a flat outdoor space with enough room for kids to move comfortably. We generally look for about 30×16 feet, but we can be flexible.
A typical driveway, backyard, patio area, or park space can work well.
We'll talk through your specific location before your event to make sure it is a good fit. And we can help find spaces for your event as well!
-
Usually, no.
Our setup is designed to be flexible and mobile. We bring everything needed for the painting experience.
-
Yes, it can be a little messy. That's part of what makes it memorable and fun!
But it is a controlled, contained, and supervised creative mess. The mess stays within our tents, tarps, and gear, and we leave our spaces clean and clear when our events our over.
We provide protective gear, set up the space intentionally, and handle cleanup afterward so you can enjoy the party.
-
We design our setup to keep the experience contained and the space protected. We lay down tarps, we have our SplatterTent, and we offer SplatterSuits to participants to keep things clean.
That said, splatter painting is an active art experience, and some paint may find its way onto shoes, clothing, or skin. We recommend choosing clothing where a little creativity is welcome.
-
We can provide protective gear, but paint-friendly clothing is always the best choice.
-
No.
Cleanup is part of what we do.
We leave the party area ready for you to enjoy the rest of your celebration.
We typically require about 45 minutes to setup before the event and 45 minutes to cleanup after the splatter paint session is complete.
-
A typical experience includes:
We arrive and set up the SplatterTent and materials.
Guests get suited up with protective gear.
We introduce ourselves, the setup, the equipment options and the activity plans.
Participants are guided through creative splatter painting activities.
Each artist creates artwork to take home.
We clean up the space when we're finished.

Party length depends on your package, activity choices, and group size.
Most experiences include enough time for setup, painting, and cleanup while fitting comfortably into a typical birthday celebration.
The actual painting activities typically last 60-90 minutes, and include a collaborative group painting activity, and a couple of individual painting activities.
We'll help recommend the right format based on your number of guests.
-
Our parties are designed to be flexible.
Our standard packages are built around smaller groups, starting at 12 (or less) participants with options to expand for larger events.
For very large groups (i.e., more than 18), we may recommend additional setup or staffing to ensure everyone has a great experience.
-
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekend parties and popular seasons like spring and fall.
We have limited availability because we personally run each event.

Because our setup is primarily outdoors, weather planning is important.
Depending on the severity of the rain and the wind, our SplatterTents can handle some wet weather.
We recommend having a backup plan whenever possible. We'll work with you to determine the best option based on the forecast and your location.
